St. Paul ApartmentsPlymouth-based Dominium is planning to bring 216 affordable apartments to a prime location in St. Paul that’s just blocks from the city’s Green Line. The building site, which is located just 2 blocks north of University Avenue at Territorial Road and Hampden Avenue, was previously owned by Hunt Electric but has been sitting stagnant since earlier this year.

According to developers, the project will include a four-story apartment building with one level of underground parking and 216 units that should appeal to a wide-range of potential residents. Although the land will have to be re-zoned, a proposal has already been submitted to the city of St. Pau that calls for calls for a reclassification to “traditional neighborhood” zoning.

Minnesota United FC StadiumThere’s been a lot of chatter about the proposed MLS expansion franchise possibly coming to St. Paul, especially since owners have released new architectural renderings of a stadium that’s being planned for St. Paul’s Midway neighborhood.

After several rounds of updates, the latest version was just released late last month, and to say the design is impressive would be quite the understatement. Kansas City-based architectural firm Populous is behind the unique layout, which is best described as having a sleek glass exterior that contains LED lights that not only give the stadium a distinct glow, but are also capable of changing colors depending on the event.
