Like any larger city around the U.S., St. Paul has plenty of different housing options for home buyers to consider, but among some of our favorite properties to show clients are residential loft conversions right in the heart of downtown. Lofts in St. Paul are often chic and stylish on the inside and the buildings themselves also have a fairly unique and rich history as well, only adding to the allure of calling one of these fabulous locations homes.
For the true urban dweller, there’s nothing quite like a St. Paul loft, and believe it or not, the inventory of residential lofts buildings here is actually broader than you may think. The Lowry, located at 350 Saint Peter Street, might be St. Paul’s most recognizable loft building, not to mention one of its coolest. Built back in 1911, this St. Paul landmark offers a range of loft-style condos that typically have between 900 and 1,200 square feet of living space, as well as plenty of attractive features and finishes on the interior to give residents a comfortable living experience.
If you prefer something a litter newer, The Metro Lofts at 2650 University Avenue were just recently built in 2005 and have more of a modern look and feel on both the inside and out. Along with affordable purchase prices, lofts for sale at The Metro are open, spacious, and provide a very close proximity to the University of Minnesota, which is situated just right up the street.
Other desirable loft options in St. Paul include the Union Depot Lofts just off the downtown riverfront, and also The Great Northern Lofts at 281 E. Kellogg Boulevard, which was built all the way back in 1888 and is one of St. Paul’s oldest loft buildings.
