Eastern Heights Elementary
One thing that parents appreciate about living in the Battle Creek-Highwood neighborhood is that their children never have to leave the neighborhood to attend school. The elementary, middle and high school are all right here.
Eastern Heights Elementary serves 381 students in grades Pre-K through 5. The school’s mission is to educate the “whole child: socially, emotionally, intellectually and physically.”
This isn’t to say administrators ignore today’s technology environment. In fact, Eastern Heights Elementary is the only school in the St. Paul Public School District to use Google Chromebooks in their curriculum.
Highlights of what the school offers include:
- A focus on parent involvement.
- Extended Day Learning (after school programs).
- Gifted/Talented program
- Student Council
Children go on to Battle Creek Middle School and then Harding Senior High School.
